Fifteen things you need to give up


Stop doubting yourself, believe that you can get to the slim side, believe you can exercise everyday and eat right.
Do not thing negatively, you must always be positive!
You shall succeed, don't be scared
Stay away from people who do not want wats best for you.
Do not gossip.
Do not criticize yourself and others, love your body.
Do not get angry.
Stay away from comfort foods like chocolate, ice cream, etc
Don't be lazy, get up and exercise.
Be positive always.
Do not procrastinate.
Success is yours.
Do things in moderation.
Don't be a people pleaser, do what pleases you.
Put your needs before others'

Try not to backslide

Trying not to backslide means going back on what you have set your mind and body to do. This happens when you have set up you mind to exercise and not to eat unhealthy foods but find your self doing the opposite.
Nobody is perfect, that's why I said try. For about three days, I haven't done my normal daily exercise and I have had a couple of drinks. I feel so bad and I feel like I'm gaining the weight back. It was a mistake to stop for a day because I just couldn't continue.
I promise to start again today

Being positive

During your journey to the slim side, it is going to take sometime before you start seeing a difference physically. You just feel lighter. During this period, you have to be positive and picture your self with the body you have always wanted.
Surround yourself with positive people that would motivate you, that would be willing to join you to exercise, eat right with you, etc.
Be distant from people who try to discourage you, tell you you are ok the way you are when clearly you want a slimmer body, people that tell you that all the diets and exercises are pointless,telling you to stop, people that give you scornful looks while you are exercising or saying no to a bottle of coke. Clearly, they don't want what's best for you....enemies of progress
I am talking out of experience, I have some people in my life, trying to discourage me. In times past, I have made decisions on slimming down and have actually started exercise and the diet but one way or the other, these people actually tell me that there is no point, that I should give up. And I actually did.
But this time, I am saying no! To the haters, watch me get to the slim side!

100%weight loss




For 100% weight loss, you need at least 20% of exercise and 80% of diet.

Exercise is very important

Exercising your body is so important, it keeps the body fit. I am the type that sweats a lot, so 5mins of exercise and I am sweating heavily.
I don't really like exercise though, it tiring...but I'm determined to get all these excess weight off so I exercise for about 40mins every day and make sure I loose nothing less than 600calories everyday while I exercise. I do this because I normally have a stressful day, walk up and down so many flights of stairs, walk to class, etc
If you are the type that just sits at home, you need to exercise for more than 40mins and burn more than 600calories.

Being proud of yourself

I started my journey to the slim side more than a week ago, and I am proud to say that I have not had any soda (Fanta, Coke, Sprite, etc). I have also not had any snacks (meat pie, sausage roll, etc). The reason I am proud is because on a normal day, I would have about two drinks a day, if not more, one hot dog and two sausages....thinking about it now, it's so funny and I am a bit ashamed, but I have decided to be truthful in writing this blog.
Due to the fact that I have stopped eating and drinking that which is bad for me, I'm happy, because I know I would get to the slim side soon enough. I have made apples and cucumbers my best friends and made drinks and snacks my enemies, I run away from them.
I am the type of person that just sighting food, I get hungry. So I try my best to stay away from shops where they are sold, trust me, I really try my best. I am so determined to loose this excess weight.

Journey to the slim side



In my journey to the slim side, I have decided not to indulge in soda ( Fanta, coke, sprite, etc). There are also juices that makes you think they are healthy but are not. Any juice that has sugar or artificial sweeteners should be far from you. That's what I am running away from. If you must have a drink, make your own fruit juice, squeeze oranges, blend pineapples and you would love it.
I have also decided to stop taking snacks ( meat pie, sausage rolls, hot dog, pizza, etc) they are bad. I carry apples and cucumbers around with me, so I don't get tempted to eat snacks when I am hungry.
With time, you would get used to it.
